Real Story #2 - Mail Service Provider
A mail service provider called in GrayHair Advisors to expedite the approvals
needed by the USPS® for the electronic documentation required to qualify for Full
Service. The GrayHair Advisors team validated the current electronic files generated,
identified the changes required to properly populate the Mail.dat file and then
instructed the service provider's data team on how to submit the files to the USPS®
Postal One!® system.
The service provider was now ready to take over the process of managing the data
files for mailings on an ongoing basis. GrayHair Advisors was retained to support
the in-house team to make the necessary changes for USPS Postal One!
upgrades.
Real Story #3 - Financial Service Provider
A financial service provider noticed an increase in mail returned by the
USPS as undeliverable as addressed and called GrayHair Advisors to help them understand
why. The same customers were mailed on a monthly basis. An inspection of the mailpieces
raised several questions about data quality. Key findings identified that the financial service provider
was not taking full advantage of the address hygiene tools available in the marketplace.
The team conducted a thorough clean-up of the name and address database and soon
after saw a significant reduction in the returned mail volume. GrayHair Advisors worked with the customer to establish new routines in the address cleansing
process. Finally the customer implemented an annual audit of the name and address
database.
